Please make sure that you lock the clubhouse and gate properly. It has been found that the bottom bolt on the clubhouse door has not been secured and the gate has not been secured fully. You need to lift the gate at the moment so that the catch engages. Repairs are in hand.

Wernley Business Houses re-arranged home match with West Warwickshire will take place on Sunday 20th July at 11.00am.
Whilst we appreciate that the bowling club is not home, it would be nice to see the place kept a bit tidier than it is at the moment. Bins are not bottomless pits and do need emptying occasionally? Drinks glasses and beakers should be returned to the bar of the pub.
Don't forget the club 'Championship' is due to be played on the 26th July starting at 13:30 prompt, make sure you are in the draw by being there on time.

Congratulations to Sammy Allen on winning the club championship. A fine turnout made it a very good competition with some excellent bowling and close results in blistering conditions. The final didn't disappoint us, it was a very close match all the way through with Kevin Sadler setting the early pace, but Sammy kept plugging away and made it her day in a close finish. Thanks to eveyone who turned up and those who stayed to watch the final and to Micky Dick for giving us a good green on which to play. So here's to the next competition which is on the 10th August 2.00pm. Argentieri Cup aggregate singles a competition with a difference! Please do your best to attend everybody.
Well done Sammy Allen & John Plowman in lifting the Luigi Argentieri Memorial Cup on Sunday, beating Kevin Sadler & Alan Rhodes in the final. Good turnout once again and many stayed to watch the final. Thank you all for your efforts.
Don't forget winners and losing finalists along with average winners in the respective leaugues are all invited to take part in the invitation only Alan Owen Trophy competition on Saturday 27th September at 2.00pm. List of entries will be put up when average winners are known. Captains please get your averages up to date so that we know who they are.
